Hohner World
Championship
1987...A very good year for me. First, the judges picked my performance
to win at the Hohner National Harmonica Contest and then they flew me to England
where good fortune followed. I won the "diatonic melodic"
section of the competition
The contest performance that won.
A version of this tune Decadel is
on my cd.

Two GIANTS of the instrument at the World
Championships...Mr. Adler and Mr. Murad. I spent a fair amount of time
talking to Jerry...riding around Jersey. He was a wonderful man.

Hohner's Steve Baker in Jersey. He was kind
enough to include me in the list of people to send his prototypes to.
Thanks again Steve!

One of my favorite players, Madcat...in Jersey.
Madcat let me close out an evening with him at the Soup Kitchen in Detroit in
the mid 80's once. I'll never forget that. His Pressure Cooker Band
had them on their feet and he encores w/ me doing a harp duet! Thanks
Madcat!

Gary and Blues Champ Pete Glaser of California. What
happened to him??

A great player (from Norway I think) someone please
tell me if they know. The TALENTED gem of a man, Pete Pedersen. Check out
his recorded harmonica jazz work, and Jerry Murad.
